Our playground design process.

Every project is unique, but in general we stick to our four step process when creating playgrounds.

There are some additional stages if we support you through the funding process, but in general our design process is outlined below.

Stage 1. Concept design

Our expert design team starts by getting to know your site, the people who’ll use it and what you want the playground to achieve. Through collaborative design, we explore layouts, play opportunities and themes that fit your brief and the character of the place. A site survey and early pricing discussions help shape a concept that works for your goals and budget.

Stage 2. Technical design

Once you’re happy with the concept, our design team develops it into detailed technical drawings. These show how the bespoke playground will work on site and give you the chance to review and sign off the details before manufacture begins. Our designers work closely with the build team so the agreed design carries through to production.

Stage 3. Manufacture

Your playground then moves into the hands of our expert build team. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility gives them the specialist equipment and space to make bespoke timber play structures throughout the year. Across 2,300m² of indoor and outdoor workspace, our team prepares and assembles components before they head to site.

Stage 4. Installation, sign-off and support

Our experienced installation team brings the design to life on site, assembling the structures with care. Once installation is complete, an independent play safety inspector signs off the play area. We then hand over a detailed operation and maintenance manual and explain the aftercare support available to help you look after your new playground.
