Churchfields is a historic farm nestled in the picturesque Worcestershire countryside.

In 2023, seeking to increase visitor numbers and create a captivating focal point for visitors, owners Will and Gillian collaborated with TouchWood to create a unique and bespoke adventure playground.

Unique playground design.

The new farm playground needed to be a key focal point for the farm. Will said: “We were looking for a knockout piece that would make people say “Wow!” when they visited us and make them want to come back.” The aim was to blend the adventure playground seamlessly with the farm’s natural surroundings, characterised by lush greenery, trees, and rolling valleys.

Doubling visitor numbers with the new farm playground

The new adventure playground has had an immediate and profound impact at Churchfields, doubling visitor numbers and substantially increasing the number of return visitors. Will said: “Everyone’s been really pleased; it’s such a great attraction.” The team at Churchfields were particularly impressed by the collaborative approach of the TouchWood team throughout the project. Will affirmed, “We really liked how the TouchWood team worked with us to deliver the project, and we’d definitely work with them again.”
