TouchWood Play is set to create an extraordinary new play destination for families visiting Zuhha Island, Dubai. The bespoke Kids’ Club, opening in 2026, will offer a unique mix of indoor and outdoor play that blends imaginative design with the island’s natural beauty.
At the heart of the project is TouchWood’s philosophy of playing naturally. The 1700sqm outdoor play zone and 1300sqm multi-tiered indoor space have been designed to harmonise with the island’s environment, encouraging children to explore, create and connect with nature.
“We are thrilled to bring our vision of child-centred, nature-inspired play to life on Zuhha Island,” said Joe Cooper, founder of TouchWood Play. “This project is about much more than fun – it’s about nurturing social interaction, physical development and imaginative play.”
The Kids’ Club has been designed to offer something for every age group, from toddlers through to teenagers. Highlights include:
Water Wonderland – a sensory area with natural boulders, streams and interactive water play
Sand Play Treehouse – a multi-level structure with pulleys, chutes and talking tubes
Teen Hangout Zone – trampolines, climbing structures and a netted lounge space
Epic Slides – including a donut slide spiralling around the building
Maze Area – an engaging labyrinth for problem-solving fun
Beach Hut Play Area – themed imaginative play for younger children
Island Challenge Area – obstacle courses to build coordination and resilience
Indoor Playhouse & Chill-Out Room – creative and calming zones for role play and relaxation
Each feature has been designed to inspire curiosity, spark imagination and encourage children to play together in a safe and stimulating setting.
The project also reflects Zuhha Island’s ambition to provide enriching family experiences. The design encourages intergenerational play, giving parents and caregivers the chance to explore alongside their children.
“Our aim was to create a place where children can freely explore and express themselves while fostering a deep connection with their surroundings,” added Joe Cooper. “We believe the Zuhha Island Kids’ Club will become a hub for families who value both luxury and adventure.”
When it opens in 2026, the Kids’ Club will be part of one of Dubai’s most exclusive destinations – a retreat where natural beauty and refined living come together with world-class family facilities.
